It's been a little over a week since I posted the "5 Day Challenge" and it's been so encouraging to hear from people across the country are taking up the challenge with their team(s). These teams are coming in all shapes and sizes - from small doctor offices, corporate teams spread out over multiple states, and a group of highly creative types that are always looking for the next "thing" to try with their co-workers. I've even heard of a conference where the questions were shared with those sitting at the same table.
So after asking those 5 questions, did you notice anything? If you've tried the 5 Day Challenge and noticed an ever so slightly difference on your team, you are probably asking yourself this:
To help you continue the GROUP GLUE question experience journey, I will post 5 new questions each week until the end of the year to help you start to get a feel for what questions have worked for ME over the past 10+ years asking questions to my own teams. Here are the next 5 questions you can ask your team that I will pull from the Growing Up category in my Group Glue book :
- What is your earliest childhood memory?
- What is your favorite cartoon character and why?
- What was the first car you drove?
- As a teenager, what was hanging on the walls in your bedroom?
- What was your worst summer or part-time job?
Don't like my questions? Be creative and come up with some of your own. Not the creative type? After years of asking questions to dozens of teams, I've collected all of my questions into a book to help you jump-start your question experiences within your team. There are over 1100 questions to help you jump start this challenge in your meetings, evolve your team’s culture, and get that grumpy guy that sits in the corner to open up about his favorite Sci-Fi TV show. Who knows – you may even watch the same Sci-Fi show as him.
